The Microsoft‘s 70-552 exam is designed to measure your knowledge of the Microsoft .NET Framework 2.0 fundamentals. The UPGRADE: MCAD to MCPD Windows Developer C#.NET exam measures your skills in developing and implementing rich client applications. Other skills measured by this exam include implementing service processes, threading, and application domains, embedding configuration, diagnostic, management, and installation features into a .NET Framework application, etc.

After passing this exam, you will become a Microsoft Certified Professional Developer: (MCPD) Windows Developer. Passing this exam will also help you automatically achieve the MCTS: Windows Applications certification.
The exam is appropriate for the candidates who are working in a typically complex computing environment of medium-to-large organizations that use Microsoft Visual Studio .NET 2003 Enterprise Developer or Visual Studio 2005. There are no specific prerequisites for this test, although it is recommended that you should have at least three to four years of experience in Windows-based application development.
