Advanced Level Linux Professional (LPIC-2) Certification

LPI's LPIC-2 is Advanced Level Linux Professional (LPIC-2) certification. The Linux Professional Institute Certification (LPIC) is a certification in the field of Linux. Each LPIC level requires successful completion of two exams for certification. The LPI certification program is designed to certify the competency of system administration using the Linux operating system and its associated tools. It is designed to be distribution neutral, following the Linux Standard Base and other relevant standards and conventions.

The LPI certification program is designed to certify the competency of system administration using the Linux operating system and its associated tools. It is designed, following the Linux Standard Base and other relevant standards and conventions. After passing this LPIC-2 exam which is the part of linux certification, the candidates should be able to adequately administer a small to medium sized network comprising of mixed platform workstations and servers, Internet gateways, firewalls, proxies etc., and have an all-round awareness of automation techniques and peripherals.

Requirements for LPIC-2 certification

LPIC-1 is a prerequisite for this certification. Professionals must have an active LPIC-1 certification to receive LPIC-2 certification, but the LPIC-1 and LPIC-2 exams can be taken in any order.

This LPIC-2 certification requires professionals to pass two exams:

  • 117-201: Advance Level Linux Professional
  • 117-202: Advanced Level Linux Professional
