What is CCNA: ICND1 and ICND 2 exam?

Cisco’s CCNA: ICND1 and ICND 2 exam is an entry-level, single option exam for achieving the CCNA certification. It validates your ability to Configure, verify and troubleshoot switches, Identify security threats to a network and to mitigate those threats and Implement, verify, and troubleshoot networks in a medium-size Enterprise branch office network. Passing this test will also help you in achieving the CCNP and CCIE certifications.

You can also get the CCNA certification through a two tests option. For this, you have to take tests
640-822 and 640-816.

Is CCNA: ICND1 and ICND 2 exam right for you?

The 640-802 test is appropriate for you if you have a basic understanding of computers and networking technology. There are no specific prerequisites for this test, although it is recommended that you should have at least some experience in implementing and administering networks.

What to expect in CCNA: ICND1 and ICND 2 exam?

This test consists of multiple choice, drag and drop, and simulation style questions. There is also Case study type and exhibit based questions. You will be required to attempt approximately 50-60 questions in 90 minutes. Cisco does not publish the pass score for the exam but it is generally considered that the passing score is 849 out of 1000.

How to prepare for CCNA: ICND1 and ICND 2 exam?

Cisco’s 640-802 Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) is the composite exam associated with the Cisco Certified Network Associate certification. This exam is a single exam option for becoming a CCNA. A candidate can also opt for the ICND1 (640-822) and ICND2 (640-816) exams to be certified as a CCNA.

This exam tests a candidate’s knowledge and skills required to install, operate, and troubleshoot a small to medium size enterprise branch network. Before taking the 640-802 exam, you should practice the following:
