About the Oracle Oracle Certified Master, Java SE 6 Developer Certification
The Oracle’s SCJD certification Sun Certified Java Developer is intended for Java developers who have extensive knowledge in the Java programming language using the Java SE platform. This SCJD exam certifies that these professionals can develop applications using the core Java APIs. To achieve this certification, candidates must successfully complete two elements: a programming assignment and an essay exam. You have to complete the following two steps to achieve the SCJD certification:
- Complete a programming assignment (CX310-252A)
- Pass an essay exam (CX-310-027)
For step 1, you have to download a Java programming assignment from the Sun Website. There is no time limit to submit the assignment. After submitting the assignment, you have to take an essay exam. The essay exam tests your designing skills that you have applied in your assignments. You should take this exam just after the programming assignment. The online essay exam has a time limit of two hours and you have to answer four questions. The prerequisite for this certification is the SCJP certification on Java Platform (any edition).
