What are the prerequisites for this exam?

PMI has the following prerequisites for ACP exam:

  • 2,000 hours of general project experience working on teams. A current PMP or PgMP will satisfy this requirement but is not required to apply for the PMI-ACP.
  • 1,500 hours working on agile project teams or with agile methodologies. This requirement is in addition to the 2,000 hours of general project experience.
  • 21 contact hours of training in agile practices.
What is the exam registration fee?
  • For PMI members: USD 435
  • For non-PMI members: USD 495
Where do I take the exam? Prometric, Pearson VUE
What is the format of the exam? Multiple choice questions
How many questions are asked in the exam? The exam contains 120 questions.
What is the duration of the exam? 180 minutes
What is the passing score? Each scored question on the exam is worth one point; and your final score is calculated by totaling the points you have earned in the exam.
What is the exam's retake policy? You are granted a one-year eligibility period in to pass the examination. During the eligibility period, you may take the examination up to three times.
