In the event that you fail your first attempt at passing the CWTS certification, CWNP's retake policy is:

If the first time you take the exam you do not pass, you may retake it at any time. If you do not achieve a passing score the second time, you must wait at least 7 days to retake the exam a third time. A 7-day waiting period will be imposed for all subsequent exam retakes. If you have passed an exam, you cannot take it again unless you are trying to become a CWNT and have received prior written permission from the CWNP Program.

What is the validity of the certification? The CWTS certification has no expiration. The certification holder is certified for life unless the vendor changes their policy.
