What are the prerequisites for this exam?

The pre-requisite for CBAP:

  • Minimum 35 hours of Professional Development Training in the past four years
  • Minimum 7500 hours of BA work experience aligned with the BABOK Guide in the past ten years

The pre-requisite for CCBA:

  • Minimum 21 hours of Professional Development Training in the past four years
  • Minimum 3750 hours of BA work experience aligned with the BABOK Guide in the past seven years

  • For non-members: USD 450
Where do I take the exam? Prometric
What is the format of the exam? Multiple-choice questions
How many questions are asked in the exam? The exam contains 120-130 questions.
What is the duration of the exam? 180-210 minutes
What is the passing score? 500
What is the exam's retake policy? Applicants are allowed to rewrite the exam two times, each attempt at a fee, (for a total of three times, where the initial exam counts as the first attempt) within the one-year period from the date of the application approval email. If an applicant does not pass their third attempt at the exam, the applicant must wait until their application expiry date. To re-apply, an applicant must complete and submit a new online application with new reference endorsements along with payment of the application and exam fees.
