Linux Server Professional Certification
The Linux Professional Institute Certification (LPIC) is a certification in the field of Linux. Each LPIC level requires successful completion of two exams for certification.
LPIC-1 exam is a part of Linux certification and it is designed to be distribution neutral, following the Linux Standard Base and other relevant standards and conventions. The Linux LPI does not endorse any third-party exam preparation material or techniques in particular.
Requirements for LPIC-1 Certification
The Linux Server Professional certification covers basic knowledge for Linux system administration and preparation to take the 101-400 and 102-400 exams. This course is designed for a person who has been performing basic system administration tasks and who needs to install, configure, and manage a Linux-based system.
To be awarded LPIC level 1 certification the candidate must successfully pass two exams, which can be taken in any order:
- 101-400: Linux Server Professional Certification V4.0-I
- 102-400: Linux Server Professional Certification V4.0-II
After you earn your LPIC-1 certification, you can follow a simple path to upgrade your skills to the following certifications:
- LPIC-2: Advanced Level Linux Professional
- LPIC-3: Senior Level Linux Professional
