Here's what you will get

The 640-802 Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) is a composite exam associated with the Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) certification.

The certification is targeted at network professionals, system administrators and technicians involved with setting up and troubleshooting networks. The exam covers network technologies, installation and configuration, media and topologies, OSI and TCP/IP models, VLAN, wireless LAN, and security.

To take the 640-802 exam, candidates are required to prepare for the Interconnecting Cisco Networking Devices Part 1 (640-822) v1.0 and the Interconnecting Cisco Networking Devices Part 2 (640-816) v1.0 courses. The 640-802 exam will be the single exam option for becoming CCNA. Alternatively, passing ICND1 and ICND2 will provide you the CCNA certification. However, passing ICND1 will provide a separate certification named Cisco Certified Entry Networking Technician (CCENT).

What are the pre-requisites of the exam? There are no technical pre-requisites for this certification.

What is the passing score? At the completion of the exam, candidates receive a score report along with a score breakout by exam section and the passing score for the given exam. Cisco does not publish exam passing scores because exam questions and passing scores are subject to change without notice.
What is the exam's retake policy?

In the event that you fail your first attempt at passing the CCNA certification examination, Cisco's retake policiesare:

  • You may only take a beta exam once.
  • If you fail in the first attempt, you must wait a period of five(5) calendar days, beginning the day after the failed attempt, before they may retest for the same exam.
  • If you have already passed the exam, it cannot be taken again without prior consent from Cisco.
What is the validity of the certification? CCNA expires three years from date of issue, after which the certification holder will need to renew their certification.Click here for more information.
