About the ISC2 SSCP Certification
The ISC2’s SSCP (Systems Security Certified Practitioner) certification is an advanced-level certification specially meant for IT security professionals who have a minimum of one year professional experience in the field of information security.
The SSCP certification validates your abilities and knowledge of the seven domains, such as access control, application security, cryptography, disaster recovery planning, risk management, operations security, physical security, security architecture and design, telecommunications and network security. The SSCP certification is also the perfect course for individuals working in many other non-security disciplines that do not have information security as a primary part of their job description but require an understanding of security.
You should have minimum of one year of professional experience in one of the seven CBK domains to get this certification. If you do not have the working experience, you may also take this SSCP exam. It will provide you Associate of (ISC) for SSCP certification. After completing the experience requirement, you will receive the certificate.
Candidates for the SSCP must meet several requirements: Candidates for the SSCP must meet the following ISC-2 SSCP requirements: - Assert that he or she possesses a minimum of one year of professional experience in one of the seven CBK domains.
- Attest to the truth of their assertions regarding professional experience and accept the ISC-2 Code of Ethics.
Successfully answer four questions regarding criminal history and related background.
- Pass the SSCP examination with a scaled score of 700 points or greater.
- Have their qualifications endorsed by another ISC-2 certified professional in good standing. The endorser attests that the candidate’s assertions regarding professional experience are true to the best of their knowledge, and that the candidate is in good standing within the information security industry.

- SSCP – Systems Security Certified Practitioner exam
