LPI Linux Professional Institute Certification

LPI Linux Professional Institute Certification program is designed to certify the competency of IT professionals in performing maintenance tasks with the command line; installing and configuring a computer running Linux; configuring basic networking; administering small to medium sized mixed networks; integrating Linux services in an enterprise-wide mixed environment. Linux Professional Institute certifications are the confided in the industry standard for estimating capability in Linux command line. The LPIC program consists of three levels of certification:

Requirements for LPI Linux Professional Institute Certification

Here are the following requirements:

  1. Work experience at the Linux command line.
  2. Ability to perform easy maintenance tasks: help out users, add users to a larger system, backup & restore, shutdown & reboot.
  3. Ability to install and configure a workstation (including X) and connect it to a LAN, or a stand-alone PC via modem to the Internet.
