IT Companies are optimistic about second half of 2010

Based on the results of an IT Industry Business survey conducted recently by CompTIA, it is expected that six in ten IT firms are likely to significantly or moderately increase their Q3 and Q4 revenues, as compared to Q1 and Q2 revenues. IT companies are beginning to be more optimistic about the second half of 2010. The CompTIA survey panel expects the Business Confidence Index to increase 5.4 points over the next six months. In addition, the CompTIA IT Industry Business Confidence Index, anticipates that 37 percent of IT firms expect to increase hiring over the next six months.

Media and Topologies

Centralized computing is an environment in which a mainframe computer provides data storage and computational abilities.
Bus topology uses a 10Base2 cable.
Bus topology is the easiest to implement.
Bus and Ring are zero fault tolerant topologies.
Full-mesh topology is the most fault tolerant topology.
Mesh topology is a type of physical network design where all devices in a network are connected to each other with many redundant connections.
In star topology, when a single connection to one of the network hosts fails, the failed connection will be down and the host will not have network connectivity.
LEDs on a network card of a client computer indicates the sending and receiving of data.
