Not at all, the certification do not retire when the related exams are discontinued. You can register for the exams which are being discontinued before the March 31, 2009 and you have time uptil May 31, 2009 to give that particular exam. The certification will not retire or be removed from your transcript when these exams do, but you will no longer be able to earn them if one of your required exam retires.
