Candidates who need to complete their Oracle9i Database Administrator certification are advised to pass their exams on or before that date. ┬áCandidates who have already completed a 9i training course to achieve Oracle9i Database Administrator Certified Professional credential may choose to complete the 9i path and then upgrade to Oracle Database 11g Administrator Certified Professional by passing a single exam – the 1Z0-055 Oracle Database 11g: New Features for 9i OCP.

If a candidate already holds these certifications, they will continue to be valid after the retirement of the corresponding exam. The retirement does not invalidate existing certifications.
