Effective from September 1, 2013, the new exam outline of CAP exam will be based on Detailed Content Outline (DOC). The Project Management Institute (PMI) has announced the new versions of its PMI-related certification exams, which will be effective from July 31, 2013. These new changes have been triggered after PMI released the new edition of the PMBOK Guide in January 2013. The fifth edition of PMBOK includes 5 more processes and 1 more knowledge area in comparison to its previous version.  The eligibility criteria and application process have not changed. Oracle has announced the retirement of several certification exams and certification tracks coming up for July and August. The Oracle9i Database Administrator Certified Associate certification is also retiring on July 31, 2013.

 

Candidates who need to complete their Oracle9i Database Administrator certification are advised to pass their exams on or before that date.  Candidates who have already completed a 9i training course to achieve Oracle9i Database Administrator Certified Professional credential may choose to complete the 9i path and then upgrade to Oracle Database 11g Administrator Certified Professional by passing a single exam – the 1Z0-055 Oracle Database 11g: New Features for 9i OCP.

 

If a candidate already holds these certifications, they will continue to be valid after the retirement of the corresponding exam. The retirement does not invalidate existing certifications.
