Tscon is a command-line utility that allows a user to connect to another Terminal Services user session. Users can connect to sessions that are in an active or disconnected state. The command-line utility uses the following syntax:
tscon <SessionID> | <SessionName> [ /server:<ServerName>] [/dest:<SessionName>] [/password:<Password>] [/v]
| Parameter | Description |
| <SessionID> | It specifies the ID of the session to disconnect. |
| <SessionName> | It specifies the name of the session to disconnect. |
| /server:<ServerName> | It specifies the terminal server that contains the session that is to be disconnected. Otherwise, the current terminal server is used. |
| /dest:<SessionName> | It specifies the name of the session. When a user connects to another session, this session is disconnected. The user can use this parameter to connect the session of another user to a different session. |
| /password:<Password> | It specifies the password of the user who owns the session to which a user wants to connect. A user who wants to connect must use this parameter to specify the password if he/she is not the owner of the session. |
| /v | It displays information about the actions being performed. |
