System Information is a utility found in Windows operating systems. It collects and displays a computer's current configuration information. It is a very effective tool for identifying and resolving computer-related problems. It consolidates the necessary information from other utilities. The System Information utility also allows a user to document the computer's current information by printing the information that is displayed in the System Information window. In Windows XP Professional, running the MSINFO32.EXE command from the Start menu opens this utility.
