What is the ServiceProcessInstaller class?

The ServiceProcessInstaller class specifies the security settings for the Windows service application. The following are the important properties of this class:

Name Description
Account It is used to specify the security context of the service application. In the Properties window of the Visual Studio .NET Component Designer, you can set the Account property to LocalService, LocalSystem, NetworkService, or User value.
Password It is used only when the value of the Account property is set to User. It also specifies the password of the account running under the service application.
UserName It is used only when the value of the Account property is set to User. It specifies the Account’s username running under the service application.
