What is the full recovery model?

The full recovery model is used to prevent data loss during the recovery process. It requires the database backup and the transaction log. It also provides protection against media failure. It logs all the transactions and retains the transaction log. The transaction log should be stored on a fault-tolerant volume to prevent data loss.
