What is the FSUTIL utility?

FSUTIL is a command-line utility that is used to perform several tasks related to FAT and NTFS file systems, such as managing sparse files, reparse points, dismounting, or extending volumes. It is a very powerful utility and is mostly used for managing file systems in Windows XP. Only members of the Administrators group can use this utility.
