The DateField class allows a user to display and edit the values of date and time. The instance of this class is placed on a form. It has the following two constructors:

  • DateField(String label, int mode): This creates an instance with a specified label and mode.
  • DateField(String label, int mode, TimeZone timezone): This creates an instance with a specified caption or label, mode, and timezone.

The label parameter specifies the text associated with the instance.

The mode parameter specifies one of the following values:

  • DATE: It displays only date.
  • DATE_TIME: It displays both date and time.
  • TIME: It displays only time.

The timezone parameter defines a specific time zone, or the value is null if the default time zone of the system is used.
