What is the BACKUP DATABASEstatement?

The BACKUP DATABASE statement is used to backup a database. Full and differential database backup can be taken with this statement. The syntaxes of using the BACKUP DATABASE statement are as follows:

To take a full backup:

BACKUP DATABASE database_name TO device_name

To take a differential backup:

BACKUP DATABASE database_name TO device_name WITH DIFFERENTIAL
