The addRecord() method is a method of the RecordStore class. This method is used to insert a new record in a specified record store. The general syntax of this record store is as follows:

public int addRecord(byte[] data, int offset, int numbytes)

The data parameter specifies the data to be stored.

The offset parameter specifies the index in the data buffer of the first relevant byte for this record.

The numbytes parameter specifies the number of bytes of the data buffer to be used for this record.

This method returns the recordID of the stored record.
