What is the a2ps command?

The a2ps command is used to convert FILE(s) or standard input to PostScript for printing on a PostScript printer. The syntax of the a2ps command is as follows:

a2ps [OPTION]… [FILE]…

Some of its important options are as follows:

Option Description
–version Displays version
–help Displays help
–guess Reports guessed types of FILES
–which Reports the full path of library files named FILES
–glob Reports the full path of library files matching FILES
–list=defaults Displays default settings and parameters
–list=TOPIC Displays detailed list on TOPIC (delegations, encodings, features, variables, media, ppd, printers, prologues, style-sheets, user options)
