What is SETUP.EXE?

SETUP.EXE is a command-line utility that is used to install the Windows Vista setup program. It supports the following parameters:

  • /noreboot: It disallows a computer to restart after the installation is complete.
  • /unattend:[answerfile]: It specifies that it is an unattended installation by using the answer file.
  • /debugport: It enables kernel debugging over the specified port for troubleshooting purposes.
  • /dudisable: It disallows dynamic updates from running during the installation process.
