What is routing table?
Rating:
Routing table is a list of routes. This table is maintained by routers to determine the interface to which an incoming packet has to be forwarded. Each route entry in the routing table contains the destination subnet and mask, the router interface, and if required, the next-hop router's IP address. By using this information, along with distance and cost algorithms, the router determines the best path to be taken by the data packets to the destination computer.
