PGA_AGGREGATE_TARGET is an Oracle server parameter that specifies the target aggregate PGA memory available to all server processes attached to the instance.

Some of the properties of the PGA_AGGREGATE_TARGET parameter are given below:

  • Parameter type: Big integer
  • Syntax: PGA_AGGREGATE_TARGET = integer [K| M| G]
  • Default value: 20% of SGA size or 10MB, whichever is greater
  • Modifiable: ALTER SYSTEM
