Direct sequence spread spectrum (DSSS) is a type of transmission technology for wireless communication. DSSS is used by the 802.11b and 802.11g wireless standards. It uses 2.4GHz band and spreads data transmission over multiple frequencies. This allows for higher throughput rates.
