What is Double Data Rate-Synchronous Dynamic Ram (DDR-SDRAM) ?

Rating:

Double Data Rate-Synchronous Dynamic Ram (DDR-SDRAM) is a type of memory, which supports data transfers on both the edges (rising and falling) of each system clock cycle. This method doubles the memory chip's data throughput rate. DDR-SDRAM has a 64-bit pipeline and consumes less power, which makes it suitable for laptops. It is also known as SDRAM II.
