Compliance Management is used to ensure that IT services, processes and systems comply with enterprise policies, and legal requirements. It is part of Service Design and the owner of Compliance Management is the Compliance Manager. Compliance issues are addressed within several processes in ITIL V2 and ITIL V3; however, there is no dedicated Compliance Management process. Compliance is an increasingly important topic for IT organizations.
