What is an implementation relationship?

An implementation relationship defines a special type of realization relationship between a classifier and a provided interface. This relationship specifies that the realizing classifier must conform to the contract that the provided interface specifies. This relationship has been renamed to InterfaceRealization in the final UML 2.0 specification.
