What is a standard user account?
Rating:
A standard user account is one of the four types of user accounts that Windows XP supports. It allows a user to install and uninstall software and hardware, change the account password and picture associated with the account, which appears on the Windows Welcome screen and on the Start menu when a user logs on. Only the computers running Windows XP Professional in a domain can be used to configure the standard accounts.
