What is a package?

November 20th, 2008 by uCertify Leave a reply »

A package is a namespace that may contain interfaces, classes, and other packages. It contains modeling elements in smaller and manageable units. If a package is removed, all the modeling elements in the package are also removed. A package can import other packages or their members. It can also merge other packages within itself. For a member or a package to be imported or merged into other packages, the package being imported must have the public visibility.
