A component is an encapsulated piece of code that performs specific tasks for an application. It can be defined as an object that contains code to manipulate data from one Windows or Web form to another. In the .NET Framework, it can be defined as a class that implements the IComponent interface. As a class, it contains advanced capabilities, such as specified architecture for managing resources and supports Windows or Web forms for their respective applications.
