What does the DBMS_RESULT_CACHE package do?

The DBMS_RESULT_CACHE package is supplied with an interface that helps the DBA in administering the part of the shared pool that the SQL result cache and the PL/SQL function result cache are using. The same infrastructure is employed by both the caches.

The DBMS_RESULT_CACHE package provides the following subprograms:

  1. BYPASS Procedure
  2. FLUSH Function & Procedure
  3. INVALIDATE Function & Procedure
  4. INVALIDATE_OBJECT Function & Procedure
  5. MEMORY_REPORT Procedure
  6. STATUS Function
