A user can add a second monitor to extend the desktop space. There are two ways to configure a second monitor. These are as follows:
- Mirrored: In this type of configuration, the second monitor reflects the same display as in the first desktop. It is best suited in the scenario where the second monitor is a projector and a user is giving a presentation to the audience. The user is facing the desktop and audience are looking at the projector.
- Extended desktop: In this type of configuration, both the monitors display different Windows and a user can view different displays on each of them. For example, he works on a Word document on one monitor and opens an e-book on second monitor.
