What are the subpackages of java.util?

Java defines the following subpackages of java.util:

  1. java.util.concurrent: It provides support for concurrent programming.
  2. java.util.concurrent.atomic: It provides synchronization features when thread-safe operation is required.
  3. java.util.concurrent.locks: It provides synchronization features when thread-safe operation is required.
  4. java.util.jar: It provides the ability to read and write JAR files.
  5. java.util.logging: It provides support for programming activity logs and can be used for recording program actions.
  6. java.util.prefs: It provides support for user preferences. It is used for program configuration.
  7. java.util.regex: It provides support for regular expression handling.
  8. java.util.zip: It provides support to read and write ZIP and GZIP files.
