What are the different values of the CommandType property?

The following are the different values of the CommandType property:

  • StoredProcedure: If the CommandType property is set to the StoredProcedure value, the CommandText property should be set to the name of the procedure that is to be executed.
  • Text: If the CommandType property is set to the Text value, the CommandText property should be set to the SQL statement that is to be executed.
  • TableDirect: If the CommandType property is set to the TableDirect value, the CommandText property should be set to the name of the table(s) that is to be accessed. In order to access multiple tables, a comma delimited list containing the names of the tables should be used.
