What are temporary cookies?

Cookies that are stored on a computer only during a single browsing session are called temporary cookies. These cookies are used by websites to determine the client browser, language, and screen resolution that the user is using. They are deleted once Internet Explorer is closed. Temporary cookies allow a user to move back and forth among the Web pages at the site without losing previously entered information.
