What are system routes?

Rating:

System routes are routes to the networks within the autonomous system (AS). System routes are complied by Cisco's IOS software using routing updates passed within the internetwork. IOS software gets system routes from directly connected network interfaces and system route information provided by other IGRP-speaking routers or access servers. System routes do not store information about subnets. These are one of the types of route that EIGRP advertises.
