What are DTS package templates?

DTS package templates are partially configured packages. These templates are used to create a complete package. Each template contains specific tasks and workflow as needed. The completed package should be saved at a new location. When a package is saved, the template can be reused to create a new package. By default the location of these package templates is in \Tools\Templates\DTS folder.
