What are context-setting commands?
Rating:
In the global configuration CLI access mode, there exists a number of subcommand modes. The context-setting commands are used to move a user from one configuration subcommand mode (or context) to another. These commands determine the topic about which a user will enter the next few commands. For example, the interface command is run to move a user to the interface configuration mode. The command entered after this command will be effective for interfaces only until you exit from the context (in this case, interface).
