What are containers?
Rating:
Containers are specialized Web servers. They consist of servlets. They provide help in managing the runtime execution of the servlets. The Hypertext Transfer Protocol (HTTP) servlet requests to the containers are passed by the Web servers. The requests are then translated into Java method invocations and passed on to the servlets.
