What are ADMX files?
Rating:
ADMX files are Group Policy templates. With Windows NT 4, the Template files used a unique file format known as ADM files. In Windows 2008 and Vista, these files are replaced by an XML-based file format known as ADMX files. These new Group Policy Template files make it easier to manage registry-based policy settings in Windows Vista and Windows Server 2008.
