Types of Questions in CCNA exams

In CCNA exams, the questions appear in a variety of formats to the candidates. Most of them are discussed below:
No classic true/false type of question appears in Cisco tests simply because there is a fifty percent chance of guessing the correct answer. These tests ask true/false questions in multiple-choice format. The candidate has to identify the true or false statement from a group of selections.
Multiple choice is the primary format for questions that appear in Cisco exams.
This is the basic (or classic) multiple-choice question in which the candidate is required to select a single answer from a pool of choices. The choices are presented in a Windows radio button format and a candidate is allowed to select only one answer.
This is tougher than the single correct choice questions. In this type of question, the candidates are required to choose more than one answer option. All the correct answers must be selected in order to get the question correct. In this format, the question specifies exactly how many answer options are to be selected.
This is the most difficult type of multiple-choice question. All the correct answers must be selected in order to get the question correct. The question does not specify how many answer options are required.
In the freeform format, no choices are provided. Instead, the candidates are required to input their response.
Such questions are less common in Cisco exams. These types of questions are presented in multiple-choice or freeform response format.
Exhibits are accompanied with many questions. They usually show a network diagram or a router/switch configuration. The exhibits are displayed in a separate window.
Scenarios are added with the questions to add a level of complexity. Each scenario consists of a few paragraphs and an exhibit that describes the company's requirement or network configuration. A series of questions and problems follow to find out whether the candidate has the ability to address the situation.
There is a good number of simulations in CCNA exams. The candidates are required to put a basic configuration and possibly test it. Some simulations have pre-configured Cisco devices, and the candidates are required to fix any errors. The candidates have to find the configuration errors, fix them, and then test the corrections.
