Configuring network settings such as File Sharing, Network Discovery, etc., for one network location type will not be applied to all the other network location types. For example, the File Sharing setting is enabled while a computer is connected to a domain. Now when this computer is connected to a Public network you need to reconfigure File sharing setting.
