The PrepKit for Microsoft exam 70-646 is designed to help individuals prepare for the actual Microsoft exam 70-646. The Microsoft exam PRO: Windows Server 2008, Server Administrator (70-646) measures an individual’s skills for the operations and day-to-day management of an infrastructure of servers for an enterprise organization. Before taking the 70-646 exam, you should practice the following:

  • Install Windows Server 2008 on two networked computers. During installation, through Setup, create a partition on the hard disks on which you should install Windows Server 2008 as a stand-alone server in a workgroup.
  • Use WDS for unattended installation.
  • Use Windows SIM to create the autounattended.xml file.
  • Make a Windows 2008 domain-based network of two computers.
  • Install and configure DNS.
  • Use Server Manager for server management.
  • Use WSUS for implementing patch management strategy.
  • Take backup of Active Directory and restore it.
  • Work on storage management.
  • Work on configuring server for service redundancy and service availability.
  • Back up and recover data.
