How to restart Active Directory Domain Services?

Take the following steps to restart Active Directory Domain Services:

  1. Start the Services console through Start > Administrative Tools > Services.

  2. On the Services console, click the Active Directory Domain Services.

  3. Click the Restart the service option. This will open the Restart Other Services pop-up window.

  4. In the window, click the Yes button.

  5. The Service Control window will show the status of work done by the operating system. Click the Close button.
