Take the following steps to restart Active Directory Domain Services:
- Start the Services console through Start > Administrative Tools > Services.

- On the Services console, click the Active Directory Domain Services.

- Click the Restart the service option. This will open the Restart Other Services pop-up window.

- In the window, click the Yes button.

- The Service Control window will show the status of work done by the operating system. Click the Close button.
