How to remove a clipping mask?

Take one of the following steps to remove a clipping mask:

• Hold down the Alt key (Windows) or the Option key (Mac OS), take the pointer over the line dividing two grouped layers in the Layers palette, and click as the pointer changes into two overlapping circles. This will remove the clipping group.
  
  
  
  Note: This action removes all the layers above the line dividing two grouped layers from the clipping mask.



• Select a layer in the clipping mask from the Layers palette, and choose Layer > Release Clipping Mask.
  
  
  
  Note: This command removes the selected layer as well as the layers above it from the clipping mask.

1. Select the base layer in the clipping mask in the Layers palette.
   
   



2. Choose Layer > Release Clipping Mask.
